Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026 · Effective for tryzevar.space and the TryZevar app
Draft notice: this policy is written to accurately describe what the TryZevar app actually does today. Before this is treated as final, it should be reviewed by a licensed advocate in India.
1. Who this policy covers
TryZevar ("we", "us") is operated by Nitesh Jewellers, a proprietorship based in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India. This policy applies to two groups of people: shop owners who create a TryZevar account, and end customers whose photos a shop owner uploads to generate a try-on preview. If you are an end customer and have a question about a specific photo, please raise it with the jewellery shop that generated it — they are the ones who uploaded the photo and can identify which session it came from.
2. What we collect, and why
2.1 Shop account data
- Phone number and username, used to sign in (via Supabase Authentication).
- Shop name and, optionally, GPS location — used to verify the shop is a real, operating business. Both are optional at signup.
- A photo of the shopfront, optionally supplied at signup for verification. This is stored in a private cloud storage bucket accessible only to TryZevar's systems — it is never public and never shared with anyone outside TryZevar.
- Generation and usage counts (how many photos your plan has used this month), used to enforce your plan's limit.
2.2 Customer photos processed during a try-on
We do not store customer photos. When a shop owner uploads a customer's photo to generate a try-on preview, that photo stays in the browser's memory only. It is sent directly, over an encrypted connection, to Google's Gemini AI model to generate the composite image, and is discarded from the app the moment the session ends or a new photo is taken. TryZevar does not save a copy on its own servers.
Because the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API for processing, Google is a data processor for that image for the duration of the request. Google's own retention and processing terms for its Gemini API govern that brief window — see Google's Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. A shop owner must have the customer's permission to take and use their photo for this purpose before uploading it — see the Terms of Service for the shop owner's responsibilities here.
2.3 Payment data
Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments, a licensed Indian payment aggregator. TryZevar never receives or stores your card, UPI, or bank account details — Cashfree collects these directly through its own secure checkout. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, and an order reference.
3. Who we share data with
- Google (Firebase, Gemini API, reCAPTCHA Enterprise) — processes customer photos in real time to generate try-on images, and provides authentication/bot-protection infrastructure. Data may be processed on Google's servers outside India.
- Supabase — hosts our shop account database and the shop verification photo storage.
- Cashfree Payments — processes subscription payments.
We do not sell any data to anyone, and we do not share customer photos with advertisers or any third party beyond the processing described above.
4. Your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
If you are a shop owner (a data principal under the DPDP Act), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how it's being used.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Ask us to erase your data once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for, subject to any legal retention requirement.
- Withdraw consent for optional data (like GPS location) at any time — this will not affect data already processed lawfully before withdrawal.
- Raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below), and if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 7. We aim to respond within 30 days.
5. How long we keep data
- Customer photos: not retained at all — discarded at the end of each session (see 2.2).
- Shop verification photo and account data: retained for as long as the account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with tax and accounting record-keeping obligations under Indian law.
6. Security
Account and verification data is stored behind authenticated, access-controlled cloud infrastructure. Traffic between your browser, TryZevar, and our processors (Google, Cashfree) is encrypted in transit. No system is completely immune to compromise; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify affected shop owners and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law.

8. Changes to this policy
TryZevar is an early, beta product and this policy will be updated as features change — for example, if we add website analytics/advertising tracking, or introduce a different AI provider for image generation. We will update the "last updated" date above whenever we do.
